For the first time, eTown has been featured as an annual best-selling master-planned community by RCLCO Real Estate Consulting, a leading national real estate advisory firm. The Jacksonville community ranked No. 36 in the firm's year-end list of the [50 Top-Selling Master-Planned Communities of 2021. ](https://www.rclco.com/publication/the-top-selling-master-planned-communities-of-2021/)

eTown continues to grow at a rapid pace, surpassing the milestone of 1,000 home sales in 2021. The community experienced a 31% increase in sales over 2020, with 548 homes sold this past year alone.
The PARC Group, the master developers of eTown, announced a number of major developments in the community this past year, including a [new shopping center](https://www.etownjax.com/news/publix-opening-2023-in-etown) in The Exchange, eTown’s Town Center. The plaza will be developed through a joint venture with Skinner Bros. Realty with about 48,000 square feet dedicated to a **Publix Super Market, Publix Liquors** and** Publix Pharmacy** drive-thru. Additional retail space and multiple outparcels will add approximately 40,000 square feet to the center. Construction will begin in the coming months and is scheduled for completion in early 2023.
In addition, Jacksonville-based **Gate Petroleum Co.** [announced plans](https://www.etownjax.com/news/gate-opening-in-the-exchange-at-etown) this past year to build a 6,500-square-foot gas station and convenience store along E-Town Parkway.
It was also a big year for eTown builders with several neighborhoods announced, including:
- [**Granville at eTown**](https://www.etownjax.com/news/david-weekly-homes-announces-new-neighborhood-coming-to-jacksonville), a new gated single-family home neighborhood from David Weekley Homes. This will be the final neighborhood in the Cypress Bluff community development district (CDD) with access to eTown’s exclusive five-acre amenity center, Recharge, which features a zero-entry pool with lap lanes, a rooftop patio, kids’ playground, a high-tech fitness center with an outdoor yoga lawn, an event lawn, and dog parks.
- **A luxury, cottage-style multi-family community** — the first of its kind in Northeast Florida — from Alluvium Partners, a local real estate investment, development and management company. [The community](https://www.etownjax.com/news/luxury-multi-family-community-coming-to-exchange-west) will feature 231 single-unit cottages and townhomes for rent, ranging from 685 to 1,407 square feet. Groundbreaking is scheduled for early 2022 with the first homes expected to be completed in early 2023.
- **Newton and Edison East**, two gated communities featuring four [new model homes from Toll Brothers.](https://www.etownjax.com/news/toll-brothers-opens-four-new-models) Both communities feature all-new home designs with modern craftsman and modern farmhouse exterior architecture, as well as extensive interior appointments, spacious living areas, well-appointed kitchens, private primary bedroom suites, and an array of personalization options. Toll Brothers hosted a grand opening of the models in January 2022. The models are now open.
