**Hi Marcy. Thanks for connecting with us! To start, can you tell us about what you do at eTown and what you enjoy about your role?[](https://residents.etownjax.com/events)**
Yes! I am the Community Manager for eTown and it is my job to oversee the entire property, including the [Recharge Amenity Center.](https://www.etownjax.com/amenities) This includes the dog parks, playgrounds, the pool, the landscaping, etc. Another fun part of my job is planning and hosting community events for residents. The most exciting thing about my job is getting to know the residents. I really love working with people and problem solving. There's never a problem or concern that's too big or small, and I'm always available to help out our amazing residents. If I don't have an answer, I will find the answer. **What was your first impression of eTown?**
How modern it was! It's so up-to-date on everything. From the solar panels to the Vizpin Bluetooth app to enter the amenity center, eTown really stands out. While technology is its defining characteristic, the modernity of the neighborhoods in conjunction with the preservation aspect makes it truly special. You get the best of both worlds. I also love that eTown is so close to Jacksonville's major roadways, making it so convenient to go anywhere quickly and easily.

I like to begin my day by going through email and phone messages, making sure I get to anyone that's waiting on an answer from me. Then I take time to walk the property to check that everything looks good and notice if there's anything that needs to be addressed or fixed. I'll then coordinate any maintenance or cleaning teams that need to come out to take care of our needs. Those are some very basic things, but that's really what I like to accomplish everyday, and there are always things that happen to pop up.
**What can residents expect to find on the [resident website?](https://residents.etownjax.com/page/login)**
Information about Recharge. More specifically, rentals and upcoming events within the community. If residents would like to rent out the rooftop patio or the pool deck, that can be found there and can be easily completed with a click of a mouse. The resident website is also the best place to find details on the upcoming events and activities.

**How do you enjoy spending your free time?**
I spend most of my free time with my family and that's about the gist of it. We love to hang out at home together and we're very big on family dinners.
**What's your favorite place you've ever traveled?[](https://www.etownjax.com/amenities)**
I have two favorite places... one was Italy. My in-laws are from Italy. I went to Italy years ago and was proposed to there. It was such an incredible trip. My husband has family in Sicily, Naples, and Milan, so it was really spectacular.
My second favorite trip was just a couple years ago. We went white water rafting in the Grand Canyon. We took a plane to a remote dude ranch, spent the night, rode a helicopter down into the canyon, and then camped and rafted there. It was quite the experience.
**What's something on your bucket list?**
Actually, the Grand Canyon trip was something I checked off my bucket list after we went. Something that's still on my bucket list is that I would like to see the Northern Lights one day.
**What's your favorite food?**
I don't really think I have a favorite food, even though everyone will tell you it's grilled chicken because I eat a lot of it. I really love dark chocolate and a good dish of pasta. When you marry into an Italian family, you definitely get some good food. I know where to go out to eat to get all the delicious, authentic Italian cuisine in Jacksonville.
**What do you love most about eTown?**
I absolutely love that I'm here to help to shape a new community. I always want everyone to love where they live; it's something I take great pride in. To come in as the manager of a new community where all the pieces are coming together is very exciting and brings me a lot of joy. I want to help create a great experience for everyone here.
